His Name

edit

It was sometimes seen as "Pierre du Guast". It is most commonly accepted as Pierre Dugua Sieur de Mons.

His name is more properly Pierre Du Gua de Monts. However, that is a small point. The article does not read well and has some inaccuracies involving the colonization of 1604/05. (my take on it, anyway) --Stormbay (talk) 22:54, 1 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

da costa

edit

"Mathieu Da Costa Born march 1st 1620 Africa Died 1698"

I got this from the mathieu da costa page. He would have visited Acadia before he was born. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.71.133.202 (talk) 17:46, 22 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
