Edit to improve sort order in Category Pinus
editI edited this to change the sort order on the page for the Category:Pinus. It had been set to alphabetize under Pine. That might make sense for categories where there are a lot of trees and a few of them are pines; then all the pines group together. But on the page where everything is a pine, it made more sense to alphabetize under Maritime. 140.147.236.194 (talk) 16:20, 13 April 2010 (UTC)Stephen Kosciesza
Move discussion in progress
editThere is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Big-cone pinyon which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 03:46, 2 November 2013 (UTC)
Geographical sectorial point of view
editI think the page is too unbalanced on Pinus pinaster as an invasive species of South Africa.. it is repeated 5-6 times in the page, and it is emphasized its pejorative meaning of the name.. it seems written by someone that "hate" this species...
Page Improvements
editThe distribution map for the species is incredibly detailed, but there is no key to explain what these symbols mean. The image is from Caudullo et al. 2017, you can find that here. It appears that the distribution map on this page was improperly edited and cropped the key from the picture. Green is the native range, X are isolated populations, triangles indicate introduced and naturalized populations. The key should be added to the image or there should be text explaining the symbol meaning, otherwise it is very confusing to readers Anonkiwi (talk) 22:07, 7 December 2020 (UTC)
