- How do "natural forces" seize a castle? That sentence needs a rewrite.71.221.125.234 (talk) 05:13, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
- How many people have actually been to this castle and are tourists allowed to stay the night in the castle? This is what i would like to know before I go out there. And has any investigation team of the paranormal been to this castle? I mean this is a huge hotspot. With so many in that area that believe in vampires do they really think that Vlad Dracul is there or if he is hiding. I just want to know how the romanians feel about all of this.
I don't know why the article says it is a "tourist hot spot." That is very wrong. It seems to be that a "tourist hot spot" would have public transportation to allow people to go there. (I had to hitch a ride on a horse drawn cart to get there.) You would also think there would be tourists (other than me) at a "tourist hot spot." I saw less than five other people there in the hour I visited. Local Romanians would also probably advertise a "tourist hot spot." But instead all attention is diverted to Bran Castle outside Brasov.
- I don't know if you would want to spend the night. Unless you like camping. The castle is in ruins so can't really accommodate overnight guests.

I am from Brazil and visited the castle in feb/08, during the winter. I only knew it was dracula's castle beacause I studied history in university and a former professor of mine who visited romania said this was the 'real' dracula castle, (and not Bran's) before I went. Getting there is actually quite a journey, but i didn't need to hike on a cart since there were romanian 'maxitaxis' (microbuses) that followed the route from Curtea de Arges to the village of Capatineni. The bus left me around 4km from the mountain and I walked all the way there. All the people I met were local peasants and guests in one of the few guesthouses near the mountain At the beginning of the stairs there was a plaque saying I should pay 4 or 5 lei to climb all the way up, but since I didn't see nobody charging it a practicaly ignored it I didn't see a single person on the way up or in the way down. It is definetely NOT a tourist hotspot.
As of spending the night there, I think it's ok but in winter it can get real cold, and also - i think - there's the danger of bears and wolves. (no, the romanian bears do not hibernate during the winter!) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.21.246.24 (talk) 23:40, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Left and right
editWhy is the location described as on the "left side", and "right side" of the river?
Left and right have zero meaning. 2601:243:C200:D3F0:D157:B8B4:E63D:B4DF (talk) 05:24, 19 December 2021 (UTC)
