Hopefully since there are literally hundreds of papers and Masters/PhD Theses on PUD this article can be cleaned up by other contributors. — Preceding unsigned comment added by GRALISTAIR (talk • contribs) 21:12, 19 December 2018 (UTC)
Editing
editI have edited parts of the article and added some info in response to a thread at the Teahouse. Particularly, I expanded the lead and moved some of its previous content to a new section (Background). Feel free to improve the changes made. Thanks! Darwin Naz (talk) 01:27, 16 April 2019 (UTC)
Weaknesses
editTo make the article even more encyclopedic and above all - balanced, I have added a heading for this and started to expand and will fill out with references when I get time. GRALISTAIR (talk) 16:52, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
An editor posting anonymously has suggested that the environmentally friendly credentials needs a citation because "down stream precursors" may not be. This is despite the comment being in the weaknesses section! That is awkward because it is like suggesting electric cars are green or environmentally friendly but are not really because components that f=go into them may not be. Anyway, I am going to add a boatload of references to peer reviewed journals and books where the authors state that in the abstract or introduction - PUDs are environmentally friendly or perceived to be.
