My comment:
What's your source? All the sources I know about the development of the AUTO UNION racers Type D (raced in 38/39) und E (design in 39 startetd and completed until 41, but never built!) agree in the opinion that the Porsches (father and son) had nothing to do with these two projects.
The development was led by Dr. Eberan v. Eberhorst!
