editI removed the reference to the British Empire in the following sentence:
The Orange Free State and the South African Republic were the first countries in both the British Empire and the world to declare postal orders to be legal tender as an emergency currency. At this time, it is currently difficult to distinguish between the currency issues and the normal postal notes.
Neither the Orange Free State nor the South African Republic were part of the British Empire. They were annexed to the British Empire, and ceased to exist, as a result of the Second Anglo-Boer War in 1900. Booshank 12:50, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
double redirect: British Commonwealth postal orders
editThis page links to Commonwealth of Nations postal orders and British Commonwealth postal orders which is a redirect to the other one. Once is where the page was until a recent move and one is now a double redirect as a result of that move. There should only be one link to that article and the text for the second link needs rewording. --Jeremyb 07:47, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
