Universally known?::

I would question the "almost universally known until the 1980's". I was born in 1965 and I don't think anyone I know, who isn't into old songs, knows it. My teachers at school were into teaching folk songs etc, so it isn't that I wouldn't have come across it if it was so widely taught. (83.16.188.58 (talk) 17:25, 6 February 2013 (UTC))Reply

Born in 1944 - the lyrics we were taught at school were very similar to those shown, with the exception of the final verse; we were taught - "In six months she'd married, this hard hearted girl And it was not a Viscount and it was not an Earl But the man that she married, without any fuss Was the bow legged conductor of a two penny bus." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.253.211.80 (talk) 03:41, 17 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
