Work Plan: Going section by section, I plan to elaborate on certain pathologic processes, signs and symptoms, diagnostic criteria and management about pubic symphysis diastasis as it is related to pregnancy and post partum. In doing this I will use up to date sources gathered from published literature reviews and add additional citations that are missing throughout the page.

Starting with Lead section, I will add a citation to the description of what this injury is. In addition I plan to add a summary of the management of this disease. Overall the Lead section of this page is well written in a neutral tone and encompasses and overall summary of what this page is about.

Moving to the next section, I plan to change the wording from “cause” to “mechanism”, and plan to add a description of the injury as it is related to vaginal deliveries. I plan to keep the line about how this injury is related to trauma in other cases outside of pregnancy and will provide a citation to the line of information. In addition in this section I will add a subsection that provides a list of risk factors that have been found to be associated with pubic symphysis diastasis.

After this section I will add an additional section related to signs and symptoms that will describe the wide variety and timing of symptoms that patients with pubic symphysis diastasis may present with.

The diagnosis section of this page is very thorough and provides accurate information regading the work up pubic symphysis diastasis. In this section I plan to add physical exam findings that can aid in the diagnosis and information regarding with imaging modality to choose. In addition, I plan to verify and possible update the citations that are listed.

While the Management section of the page does a good job and going over the treatment option for pubic symphysis diastasis, I plan to elaborate on the information by providing reasoning for choosing each treatment method and the fact that there is currently no consensus on a streamline approach to the treatment of pubic symphysis diastasis. In addition I plan to provide information about physical therapy techniques that are used to treat this injury.

Finally I will end with a section on prognosis and prevention regarding the injury that may serve as a guide to readers to learn more about the whole picture of the injury and how it is related to pregnancy. Ginnalowe (talk) 04:02, 7 March 2022 (UTC)GinnaLoweReply

Pubic Symphysis DiastasisPubic symphysis diastasis – The title for this medical condition has no reason to be capitalized as standard use of it in medical sources is not capitalized. SimLibrarian (talk) 02:09, 24 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
