editIt is interesting to note that the very successful Festival International de Louisiane, now in its 23rd year in Lafayette, Louisiana, was modeled after Festival International d'ete de Quebec, then in its 25th year.

Conflict of interest
editUser:Dave.paige has admitted to having what Wikipedia considers a conflict of interest here, as he stated he made edits at the requests of the leaders of three organizations, including Quebec City. - BilCat (talk) 21:38, 21 March 2019 (UTC)
- I never admitted that. All the informations i have added in this article is 100% true. Dave.paige (talk) 03:11, 26 March 2024 (UTC)
Requested move 21 March 2019
edit- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: Moved to In ictu oculi's alternative and disambiguated FEQ per consensus. (closed by non-admin page mover) SITH (talk) 20:05, 4 April 2019 (UTC)
Quebec City Summer Festival → FEQ – Festival has been renamed. Target name is currently used as redirect to an unsourced article. This is a better occupant for that URL. TimTempleton (talk) (cont) 18:01, 21 March 2019 (UTC) --Relisting. SITH (talk) 18:51, 28 March 2019 (UTC)
- Move to Festival d'été de Québec per English-language sources and WP:FRMOS, The Weeknd, Neil Young and Future drew huge crowds at Festival D'ete, etc. FEQ should probably be a dab page with the teak grade, flow equations in water supply, and the French-Canadian arts festival mentioned. In ictu oculi (talk) 08:22, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
- Neutral, but FEQ should probably become a dab page, as mentioned by In ictu oculi above. Paintspot Infez (talk) 21:41, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
- The site of the festival is now www.feq.ca. Before it was infofestival.com. Everybody call this festival The Feq in english. Like other festival ( Osheaga, Coachella ) the name is the reference for the people who looking for information. On the page link by "In ictu oculi" you see the big logo of the FEQ at the far right. https://nowtoronto.com/music/concert-reviews/festival-dete-quebec-feq-weeknd-neil-young/ Wikipedia was created to provide the most accurate and easy to find information with a page title that represents reality for users. Quebec City Summer Festival is only a basic traduction of the old name of the Festival ( Festival d'ete de Quebec ) in english. If you want to comment something about the festival on twitter people enter #FEQ for so many years now. Just try it. Maybe The FEQ or FEQ or The FEQ Music Festival. Maybe like ( Coachella Art And Music Festival ) ( . In Google if you enter FEQ in the search bar, the first thing is the festival. 02:30, 30 March 2019 135.19.112.33
- Note https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/135.19.112.33, (may be better to create an account) none of those points particularly address en.wp guidelines. The benchmark for making any 3-letter acronym here exclusively refer to one meaning is high. What's more an issue is that Festival d'été de Québec is more recognizable for anyone outside Canada. In ictu oculi (talk) 08:16, 30 March 2019 (UTC)
The new name of the Quebec City Summer Festival is now FEQ. it's a fact. I think The FEQ Music Festival is a good choice. The FEQ ( The name ) and the kind of event ( Music Festival ). But we don't have to see FEQ as acronym. It's not F-E-Q but FEQ in one word. For me "FEQ Music Festival" or "The FEQ" is accurate. Festival d'ete de Quebec is the old name. And anyway 90% of the concerts are bands with english speaking. It's not a french local cultural event with french bands. It's a international events with 135 000 pass sold in more than 25 country. For me "FEQ Music Festival" is a great compromise. I don't know for you but for me it's really good.
Like "Coachella Arts And Music Festival". It's Clear and we know it's not the Coachella Valley BUT the Coachella Festival. The NAME of the event AND the KIND of event. It's my opinion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 135.19.112.33 (talk) 21:21, 30 March 2019 (UTC)
If you looking for information for the FEQ in internet our Wikipedia or whatever. You will not Search ""Quebec City Summer...whatever"" The name of the event will be the first thing you will enter. FEQ. Like the OSHEAGA Festival. Nobody will search "Montreal Summer....whatever". They will enter OSHEAGA or OSHEAGA Festival or OSHEAGA Music Festival. In Google i enter "FEQ Mus" and Google give me "FEQ Music Festival" with the date of the event immediatelly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 135.19.112.33 (talk) 21:38, 30 March 2019 (UTC)
The request for the page will be "FEQ Music Festival". The OFFICIAL NAME of the Event AND the KIND of event. Thank You. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 135.19.112.33 (talk) 01:48, 4 April 2019 (UTC)
