The result of the move request was: Consensus to move page to Shane Kimbrough. (non-admin closure) — YoungForever(talk) 15:22, 11 August 2020 (UTC)
Robert S. Kimbrough → Shane Kimbrough – By WP:COMMONNAME - he is Shane Kimbrough on his own Twitter and Instagram; NASA has him as R. Shane Kimbrough which would be a possible alternative. The target Shane Kimbrough has history, plus the page was previously moved in October 2008 with the comment "Moving to proper naming - NASA's site (biography) has his name as Robert S. Kimbrough. His name is Robert, not Shane. Title should reflect proper name per MOS naming convensions" which is certainly not correct now. Keith the Koala (talk) 09:25, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
- Support The current title is certainly sometimes used, but the proposed name is both used more, and in more official contexts. "R. Shane Kimbrough" and even "Robert Shane Kimbrough" also seem to be fine names that get some use and some official use, but the proposed title seems to get the most and best.--Yaksar (let's chat) 18:21, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
- Support per nom.--Ortizesp (talk) 20:21, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
- support but may lean towards r. shane kimbrough over just shane kimbrough as in his official nasa bio, but should be changed nevertheless. Epluribusunumyall (talk) 21:45, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
Move done. -Kj cheetham (talk) 15:35, 11 August 2020 (UTC)
