Talk:Red Baron II
favorite
editThis will always be my favorite game. I remember flying for twenty minutes or so to a high altitude just so I could secure advantage over the enemies. The community was great - and if the servers were still populated, I would still be playing. S! They are pretty much dead today. -VonR
The servers are still populated with pilots flying every night. There are also big Community Events which include RBWL/WF/CW and other types of different war formats, and each attract numerous people. It should be noted that in the '08 season of CW, there were 60 pilots all flying at once for the duration of the campaign. It is far from dead, there are even updates being designed for it by several designers in the community. -RAF_Crusader —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.161.2.130 (talk) 07:37, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
Article content
editI'm concerned this article is more community fancruft than actually about the game itself. While it's admirable that someone's written a history of the game's modding, it really doesn't belong on Wikipedia. Sum0 15:34, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
Agreed. There is little on the actual game, and much on its mods. Plus, much of the article reads like an ad. It's an impressive work but much of it will need to be modified or deleted. -Edlin2 06:03, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
The game surprised everyone by being released early, and it quickly became obvious this was a last-ditch ploy by Sierra, overriding the developers' wishes, to get it on shelves in time for the holiday season. It was so buggy as to be practically unplayable. The many hasty bugfixes culminating in RB 3D several months later, while finally producing a playable game, destroyed Sierra's credibility to the point they had to cancel the announced Aces: X-fighters. The article should really cover some of this, as it figures heavily into the fate of what was left of Dynamix / Sierra, and the story of RB 2 isn't really complete without it. 71.219.24.101 (talk) 10:28, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
Yes, 100 percent fancraft. This article really should be written by someone who really knows the story, or removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.54.94.95 (talk) 21:51, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
Aircraft and realism
editThis section is identical to a section of the same name in Red Baron (video game) (the first part). I remember part 2 to be considered quite realistic, although I never played it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.204.100.244 (talk) 12:54, 29 July 2011 (UTC)
