POV edits

edit

An editor using various IPs has attempted to change this text in the article:

Sudan claims, but does not control the Hala'ib Triangle, a region disputed between Sudan and Egypt.

to this:

Sudan claims the Hala'ib Triangle, a region disputed between Sudan and Egypt which it administered from Sudan's independence until Egypt's military annexation of the region in 1995.

I have reverted these edits for this reason: both sides claim the area, and both sides acknowledge that Sudan does not currently control it, but the area was only "annexed" from the Sudanese viewpoint, since from the Egyptian viewpoint it was already part of the country; one cannot "annex" what already belongs to you. This makes the new text POV, biased towards the Sudanese viewpoint. (I would, and have, removed similar revisions biased towards the Egyptian viewpoint from this or other related articles, since I have no dog in this fight.)
