On 6 December 2023, it was proposed that this article be moved to Airstrikes on Palestinian refugee camps during the 2023 Israel–Hamas war. The result of the discussion was not moved. |
Listify
editI think its best to List-ify this article into "List of Refugee camp airstrikes in the 2023 Israel–Hamas war". Or possibly even merge into an article that is List of airstrikes in the 2023 Israel–Hamas war.VR talk 21:05, 24 November 2023 (UTC)
- If I didn't read the news of the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack on Israeli, Thai and American people and killing more than 1400 innocent people I would be very angry now to Israel. But I am not. Israel did what they had to. They bombed the camps because Hamas was there after telling that to the poor Palestinian people it will happen, and go to South. Of course Hamas did not let them go. I saw a video recap of Hamas killing Palestinians who tried to go to South. Unfortunately the article totally one-sided. Shame on those who wrote it. 174.108.6.72 (talk) 00:05, 26 November 2023 (UTC)

Refugee camp airstrikes in the 2023 Israel–Hamas war → Airstrikes on Palestinian refugee camps during the 2023 Israel–Hamas war – The current name gives the impression that these were attacks on camps with actual refugees by normal definition. But they are settlements with millions of people, most of whom are descendants of those who were refugees more than 50 years ago. There are articles about this phenomenon: Palestinian refugee camps, Palestinian refugees. The title should reflect this for clarity. Triggerhippie4 (talk) 04:26, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose: Palestinian refugee camps is already a linked term in the opening paragraph, and that level of detail is not required in the title, nor would it make the title any more precise, since there is only one type of refugee camp being discussed. The proposal above makes no sense given the title's already considerable existing length and the precepts of WP:CONCISE/WP:CRITERIA. Iskandar323 (talk) 14:51, 7 December 2023 (UTC)
- There are actual refugees in the Gaza Strip right now due to the ongoing war. These airstrikes are not on them. Therefore, the name should be clarified. Triggerhippie4 (talk) 17:05, 7 December 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose The current title concisely and correctly describes the content, no gain in changing it.Selfstudier (talk) 19:13, 8 December 2023 (UTC)
