NPOV tag: why?

edit

A tag questioning NPOV was inserted by a user whose personal page says "gone", and no explanation nor anything else appears on the talk page.

If anything, the article could be expanded. I've seen video of Cardini performing, and read about him in histories of magic. Based on both, he was an excellent magician, entertainer, and exponent of sleight-of-hand. To the best of my knowledge, among serious magicians there is no controversy about Cardini's credentials.

I'm removing the tag, for lack of an explanation. KSmrq 2005 July 9 07:08 (UTC)

gloves

edit

i remember reading a long time ago that he started wearing gloves while practicing sleight of hand because it was so cold in the trenches. If this can be corroborated, this should be included, since it is an interesting nugget explaining partly his unique style. --C S (Talk) 05:53, 30 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Source?

edit

"One of the unusual features of a Cardini performance was that he did sleight of hand wearing white gloves. In a famous routine, he appears to be tipsy and bemused as cigarettes and other items appear and disappear in his hands, acting as if he is the victim of a strange trick of nature rather than a master of magical mysteries.[citation needed]"

Article title

edit

Why is this article not titled Cardini? Clearly (it seems to me) that is the name by which he is predominantly known. Unless I'm convinced otherwise by arguments here, I will move the article to that title (if I don't forget...). Ghmyrtle (talk) 22:32, 24 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
