Talk:Ricochet (2000 video game)
Reflexive
editIt wasn't developed by Reflexive (well, they made Ricochet too, but it was Arcanoid clone).
---
This was clearly inspired by Tron. Why isn't that mentioned in the article?
- I've heard that it's inspired from an arcade game entitled Discs of Tron. -TonicBH 18:17, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
Valve Task Force Re-vitalization
edit Attention, all contributors to the Valve Task Force and the articles it constitutes!
I am here to announce that I will be re-vitalizing the Valve Task Force, aimed at universally improving articles constituting Valve Corporation, their employees, associates and products. This specific task force has been dormant for quite some time and with two very notable releases coming out this year, I feel like this is the appropriate time to re-stimulate the general aim of this group. For those who are not already members of the Valve Task Force, feel free to add your name to our members list and contribute to whatever articles you feel your contributions may prove beneficial for. Valve, its products and notable employees have proven to be essential to the progression of the video game industry, so I'd like to make a call of arms for this cause. Redirect
editApart from Gabe using Richochet 2 as a joke, this has zero coverage, even in the Internet Archive's print collection; no reviews at MobyGames either. Unless somene has reviews or some other form of significant coverage, this should be merged to List_of_GoldSrc_engine_mods#Team_deathmatch czar 14:44, 13 October 2016 (UTC)
- Agreed. Recent mentions, in relation to the Richochet 2 jest, are at best passing mentions. There's no indepth coverage to support GNG. -- ferret (talk) 21:49, 13 October 2016 (UTC)
- This is not a third party mod, neither is Deathmatch Classic, these are both primary releases from Valve. I've already added sources and these are both games which are involved with any purchase of Half Life. Common sense would suggest this is notable having both been accessed on over 10 million PCs. These games have died since, but notability cannot be lost and sources have been provided. Valoem talk contrib 21:51, 13 October 2016 (UTC)
- And notability is not temporary. If you have sources from its heyday, perhaps print sources, then we're fine. The issue is that insufficient sources currently exist to write a dedicated article about this topic... Without a single review, it's only going to collect unsourced cruft. See the concurrent Talk:Deathmatch Classic#Redirect for why we typically merge this stuff. Has nothing to do with "common sense" or how many copies have been distributed—either we have enough reliable sources with which to write an article, or we have spotted mentions that together do not make for a complete, authoritative article on the topic. czar 00:46, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
