Ring is a FOSS project for VOIP. It is notable for its long history (it has changed name from SLPhone), also it is the second best known project after Linphone, that at last entered Android platform. And it is also notable as GPL-3 licenced software. Toneymoon (talk) 09:42, 5 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

I second that. Since the faltering of the similar Tox project, and Ring becoming a GNU Project, there has been a lot of interest in the software freedom activists, and some interest from the tech press. Some more sources:

Long Bullet List

edit

The long list of bullet points towards the end of the page might be better converted into a series of paragraphs explaining the most significant features. Danylstrype (talk) 05:09, 4 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Infobox doesn't display latest release.

edit

When displayed on my PC (Intel 64, Debian 12.7) the infobox doesn't display the latest release info. When I look at the page source, the "latest release version =" parameter is there & I can't see what's wrong with it that prevents it working. I've checked the /doc pages for both Infobox software and Multiple releases templates without luck. Please help. Kiore (talk) 23:26, 6 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
