Romania Top 100 Website Web Address

Just wondering where the person adding the Number Ones in Romania is getting his information from as the sight (http://www.rt100.ro/top-100-edition.html) has not been updated since June 2008. Is the chart at a new sight now? If it is, what is that sight and it's web address. The sights web address needs to be updated on here. (MoovieStarz (talk) 03:50, 27 March 2009 (UTC))

There is no "official" top 100, and especially has nothing to do with US Billboard. Please someone remove such idiocracy off the article. From 1990 romania has free FM-stations wich each put together a weekly top (mostly 40, or 20 positions, and one annually 100positions top). Each station's week the top is assembled with the tunes being sorted out on listeners' phone rates, email, preferences, etc. Even I wanted to put a mail to DELTA fm in Bucharest on an ocasion. Especially up to the year 2001, or 7-11, Billboard had nothing to do with the romanian music scene. In 1997 there was a TV show, taken from iTV (UK) station which had one hour or 10tunes top from UK and tith tunes from all over Europe, again not from USA. In Romania there is no Billboard top. If there was one , please put in the intro the station it's on, because it's not romania.Conclusion: delete this garbage as it is not true and does not represent Romania.Bogdan188.25.53.122 (talk) 14:25, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

If weedies (wikipedians) would like to store some information, please put make an article for each month top on each FM-station top. 1music TV, U-tv, radio 21, each have a top, based on romanians music preferences. Chill out. It is not a Billboard chart, it's just recognized by an ex devision of the magazine, called Music and Media. The chart started in 1996, not in 1990. What's KISS FM here to decide the fate of the chart? For some time now, they act like their chart is the national chart - which isn't. And to say there is no such thing as a "top 100" ... just google "Romanian Top 100", you'll get enough sources to prove it's notability and, of course, the fact that it's ... well, shocker, real. The sources in the article do not even include the sources for the top in the current year so it is not verifiable. Articles on wikipedia.org should not be personal research. I suggest deletion. You have no point. The internet has enough source to prove it's notability. Here: [1], [2] are just two links to prove the chart exists, making your comments not valid. The website http://www.rt100.ro/ cannot be used as a reliable source in wikipedia.org because it has no contact form, and updates regularly and the old informations get deleted. It contains only commercials for kissFm, primaTV, etc, and has no contact address or even an email. How does it work? / "Mr. Saxobeat"

Hello Cartoon network freak, I was looking at the "Mr. Saxobeat" reference (ref n°8) and I'have tried to understand how Meda Forest's chart works. Should I add Songs-Radio and Songs-TV's Plays and compare which one get the best score with songs of Romanian and Internationnal column? If I do that, Alexandra Stan topped the chart during 9 weeks (between 2010's week 49 to 2011's week 5). --TaupeGun (talk) 13:24, 29 December 2017 (UTC)

Hi there! Only in 2011–12, the Romanian Top 100 took the data of Media Forest in consideration. In those two years, the number one on the Romanian Top 100 was the song with the most radio and television plays, as showed on Media Forest's website. "Mr. Saxobeat" is a special case, as it already reached number one before 2011. In this case, the three weeks it topped the chart in 2010 are referenced by AllMusic, while the five weeks it topped the chart in 2011 are referenced by Media Forest (see this for clarification). So in reply to your question, you can only use Media Forest itself for 2011 peaks, as that was the year of its introduction as a data provider for the Romanian Top 100. I'm copyediting; please revert if I make any mistakes. Just one comment about the text: The chart was included in Billboard's Music & Media until that magazine's cancellation: I think it would be good to make this "...cancellation in 2003", since that would make it clear when the chart was included, but the existing source doesn't give that date. I think a source should be easy to find.

Can I ask how you're calculating these achievements? Is it simply by going through all the archived copies of the list you can find? I see this list in the sources, for example; what does it show? Is NW "number of weeks"? What is "editie"? And what makes rt100.ro a reliable source? My concern is that the article might be assembling incomplete data to make statements that might prove not to be true if we had all the data. I also want to check that some other source has listed similar statistics -- we should not be creating this sort of list if nobody else has done so; we're a tertiary source. @Mike Christie: Hi there and thank you for taking this on review! Thank you also for your copy-edit; I've added the year of the magazine's cancellation and added a source as suggested. In reply to your question, yes, I calculated the achievements by going through all archives that could have been found of the chart. That was a lot of work to do, but I do understand your concerns on incompleteness and Wikipedia being just a tertiary source (Do we have to remove all achievements or can be selected ones kept?). In reply to your other question, "NW" seems indeed to be the number of weeks of a song in the chart, and "editie" (English: edition/issue) is probably the issues a song reached its peak position (weekly charts do not have this; this page is a year-end chart). The rt100.ro is (was) a reliable source, as confirmed below on almost every archived page such as this: "Romanian Top 100 si denumirile adiacente sunt proprietate SC Vento Consultanta SRL. SC Vento Consultanta este singura firma autorizata sa produca in mod legal emisiuni radio pe baza clasamentului national. Utilizarea informatiilor continute in acest site de o maniera contrara celor de mai sus contravine legii !" → "Romanian Top 100 and the adjacent names are owned by SC Vento Consultanta SRL. SC Vento Consultanta is the only company authorized to legally produce radio shows based on the national ranking. Cartoon network freak, per the comments at WT:GAN, I think there's no way to promote this with any of the summary material in it. I can either fail it as is, and you can then decide what to do about the content; or you can remove the content, and I can probably pass it at that point -- I'd take another look to be sure but I see no reason why the resulting short article shouldn't pass.
