Should?
editShould this be linked to the Tennessee Williams play for which it's (directly or indirectly) named (The Rose Tattoo)? DS 00:07, 14 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Except that the band was probably named after a decoration on one of their girlfriends *lol* Grant65 (Talk) 14:15, Dec 14, 2004 (UTC)
- Regardless of where the band got the name from, I put a disambiguation link at the top of the page. GentlemanGhost 17:55, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
Pete Wells
editGuys, the first section says Wells died after a 'long' battle wih cancer, the final para that it was after a 'brief' battle with cancer. I don't know which is correct but it can't be both...! Cheers, Ian Rose 12:39, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
- Since no-one has been able to provide enlightenment on this, I've removed for the moment both 'long' and 'brief' and said simply that he died from cancer; also merged the mention of his death in the intro with the one at the end. Cheers, Ian Rose 01:53, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
- Pete Wells was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2002 and he finally passed away in March 2007, so I guess it was a long battle. News Archive '06 of Peter Gormley's Rose Tattoo Homepage
Band leader?
editI removed "and slide guitarist Peter Wells." from the introducing sentence about by whom the band is led, because Wells recently passed away and therefor is unable to lead the band anymore.
Wrong Album Link
editThe album "Scarred for Life" listed under the discography section links to the wrong album: It links to an album of the same name by some wizard rock group. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.94.211.57 (talk) 18:07, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
Proposed major edits
editAs an ARIA Hall of Fame group, the article should be B-class or higher. I intend to improve this article steadily over the next week or so. I've already started with a members section, and better references section. Interim edits may seem incomplete or disjointed.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 01:24, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
- Should now be at B-class.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 05:39, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Paul DeMarco Arrest
editArrested today (April Fools Day, but apparently true) in connection with a gun supply ring. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2014-04-01/three-arrests-in-western-sydney-over-gun-supply-ring/5358986. Probably not worth a mention in the page yet. A conviction would be, I imagine. - 220 of Borg 05:59, 1 April 2014 (UTC)
- Now in article. He was sent to trial where he pled guilty. He was sentenced to six years minimum jail: due out in 2020 with remissions.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 04:02, 8 June 2020 (UTC)
- According to this DeMarco has served his time by late May 2020. His return to RT is complicated by Covid-19 restrictions and whether he can obtain touring visas with his conviction/criminal record.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 04:33, 8 June 2020 (UTC)
