Thanks to those who've gone back and fixed my stubs. It's almost magical to have created a bare-bones beginnings of an article one day, and to come back the next and find it tweaked and edited. What a concept! Tom guyette 01:47, 22 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Part of the Emerald Necklace

edit

In fact the bike route is part of the growing "Emerald Necklace" that cities are establishing which will eventually link all of Southern California together by providing bicycle-safe, car-less routes through all of Southern California. Suitable links and text to the extant article mentioning the proposed "Emerald Necklace" should be added. Damotclese (talk) 01:49, 9 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

The northern segment begins near Whittier Narrows Recreation Area.

edit

The northern segment begins near Whittier Narrows Recreation Area. -- That is not accurate. :) The northern end of the trail ends at mile marker 17.5 along Highway 39 near the base of the San Gabriel Mountains just half mile short of mile marker 18 where the mouth of the San Gabriel River canyon opens up. This editor is absolutely correct. That's a distance of 39 miles. I rode that route weekly for years, from Azusa (where I lived part of that time) to PCH and back. 70.59.24.167 (talk) 21:24, 20 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Just a note about the length

edit

It's 39 miles from the trailhead at PCH to the trailhead in Azusa. I rote that route nearly every weekend for close to a decade. 70.59.24.167 (talk) 21:23, 20 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
