editwhen I fixed the ref from the edit. I pressed the 'enter' key, as I didn't finish the edit message. So the message was, "fixed the ref, and there was 2 repeats of that 'SF gate' as you can use a 'ref name=' to share the same ref/ source." As earlier I came across the page/ article, when I looked at the ref, it shows that short ref sentence with an url/ link. But it looked off, or strange. Unblue box (talk) 23:18, 3 May 2018 (UTC)

Sapporo Brewery → Sapporo Holdings – The current title of this article is "Sapporo Brewery", which is not actually the name of any business – the correct title is "Sapporo Breweries". However, it seems from Sapporo Holdings's website that Sapporo Breweries Ltd is a subsidiary company that only operates in Japan. In the rest of the world, Sapporo beer is produced and sold by Sapporo International Inc. and/or its subsidiaries (e.g. Sapporo U.S.A.). Because this article includes information about international sales/manufacture of Sapporo, I think it makes more sense for the article to be about Sapporo Holdings, the company that owns both the Japan company and the international company. - Oppose and prefer Sapporo Breweries or Sapporo Beer (the title on the Japanese Wiki) if necessary. In order to be most useful the article should be about the beer/breweries, not about the structure of the conglomerate, and it's fine if there is an article about the subsidiary that only operates in Japan, since that's what most people are likely to be looking for information on. It might also be possible to break out the part on the holding company into a separate article on international activities, but Sapporo Holdings is also less WP:RECOGNIZABLE, since on its face it could refer to any number of companies headquartered in Sapporo. Note also Asahi Breweries (not named after the holding company). Dekimasuよ! 07:58, 5 December 2018 (UTC)
- Support Sapporo Breweries per Dekimasu, as that should be the topic most readers would want to read. feminist (talk) 04:18, 8 December 2018 (UTC)
- Move to Sapporo Breweries, as being a more accurate title that fits common name usage. —BarrelProof (talk) 17:51, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
- The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
