What is the rationale behind spelling Sarit's surname "Dhanarajata"? "Thanarat" is much closer to the actual pronunciation, is the spelling used by most history books I have read and (as of April 23) turned up 18,500 hits on google versus "Dhanarajata" at 2,140 (almost ten times)? Can we change it? - peter

Spelling of name

Google finds me 19,000 hits for "Sarit Thanarat", and 38 hits for "Sarisdi Dhanarajata". Here on English-language Wikipedia, we should use the normal Latin-alphabet way of spelling his name. Maproom (talk) 07:52, 23 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
