Lack of references
editThis information was mostly taken from the Sega Saturn article; I'm looking for anything useful as references but I can't find anything yet. If I do I'll add it. Wolftengu (talk) 20:03, 10 June 2011 (UTC)

sample compression
editWhile the lack of sample compression on the SCSP has been noted by many sources, the fact is that it never would have been a possibility. ADPCM and all other such schemes can only be decoded by reading the data in sequence, whereas the SCSP's phase modulation feature requires reading samples out of order. Its sample loop feature also supports playing samples in reverse, which is likewise impossible with ADPCM. 108.183.39.162 (talk) 12:10, 13 December 2019 (UTC)
