Solanum gilo isn't an accepted species of Solanum, it is considered to be a synonym of Solanum aethiopicum, see for instance [1]. --Carstor 15:28, 15 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

The result of the move request was: Move. We have consensus against capitalizing "Eggplant". No prejudice against opening another RM if a better title such as those mentioned by Plantdrew are identified.--Cúchullain t/c 15:25, 16 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Scarlet EggplantScarlet eggplant – Please place your rationale for the proposed move here. Fructibus (talk) 01:47, 2 October 2017 (UTC) Thai eggplant etc. Fructibus (talk) 01:47, 2 October 2017 (UTC)--Relisting. Regards, Krishna Chaitanya Velaga (talk • mail) 09:45, 10 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Comment Eggplant shouldn't be capitalized in the title. But I'm not convinced "scarlet eggplant" is the best title. Gilo and jilo are pretty commonly used names for this uncommon vegetable, and some of cultivars aren't scarlet at harvest (gilo is a disambiguation page and jilo redirects to this article).
