The Ghost Of A Saber Toothed Tiger 2009 Tour
editI have added and been cleaning up this section in the article. Many of the quotes can only currently be proven by me and others who were at the show, but I think they should be left there for historical recordings. --Yamalieu (talk) 06:55, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
I also added "With The Ghost of a Saber Toothed Tiger" to the Discography section noting Chimera Music MMIX A.D. (2009) as the album. --Yamalieu (talk) 07:00, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
I have created the articles Chimera Music MMIX A.D. and The Ghost Of A Saber Toothed Tiger. --Yamalieu (talk) 07:56, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

Kate Bush. Yuka Honda. Timo Ellis. Jordan Galland. Vincent Gallo. Blonde Redhead. Boredoms. OOiOO. Buffalo Daughter. Square Pusher. Egon Schiele. Guided By Voices. Picasso. Miro. Dali. Da Vinci. Godard. Beckett. Descartes. Aristotle. Socrates. Plato. Homer. Kubrick. Orson Welles. Francis Bacon. David Bowie. Andy Warhol. Shakespeare. Joyce. Nabokov. Yayoi Kusama. Ryu Murakami. Kurosawa. Igmar Bergman. Woody Allen. Bunuel. Jean Cocteau. Marcel Duchamp. George Michael. Michael Jackson. Jim Henson. Andre Kertez. Chris Ware. Einstein. Richard Feynman. Rene Laloux. Dudley Moore. Jimi Hendrix. Prince. Andy Kaufman. Eddie Murphy. Django Reinhardt. Robert Johnson. Oscar Wilde. All of these people have changed my life. They have all moved me to continue living and to seek out the light. Seriously. No, just kidding. No seriously. Just kidding.....seriously though.... "
Where, of course, "Mom"=Yoko Ono and "Dad"=John Lennon.
I tried linking to his MySpace for references on the Musical Influence section, but the Wikipedia bot deleted my attempt. Perhaps someone else can achieve this better than I. --Yamalieu (talk) 08:45, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

Bogus image! / Vandalism?
editThere is an image of Julian Lennon on the Sean Lennon page. The image is titled as Seanlennon so this is an error. It needs to be removed. I'm somewhat new to wikipedia and I don't want to overstep any bounderies, but if the image is not removed soon I'll have to see if I can do it myself.
Atrocious Image
editOkay, so now instead of having an unsourced photo up on this page we have the same photo that an anonymous unregistered user now claims is their property and releases free to the public. How can we tell if this is kosher? Wellesradio (talk) 00:22, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
- There's no clear reason to doubt the source. It could be an intern or someone like that, new to wikipedia. If you can find the pic elsewhere on the net, then the authorship could be further traced.Wwwhatsup (talk) 09:31, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
All right, listen up fanboys and girls. The current photo is uncredited and will be deleted soon if someone doesn't step up. The previous photo may not have been to your liking (you silly, shallow people), but at least we knew where it came from. Wellesradio (talk) 23:49, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
The current image of sean is simply awful. Can't we get a better fair-use image somehow? It'd almost be better to go without a picture. From what I see in this article, all I know is that sean lennon must be somebody with facial hair.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.161.184.54 (talk • contribs)
- We certainly don't want a "fair use" image here. I have found a clearer freely licensed one to replace the indistinct one that we had. Jkelly 21:24, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- I've put my own picture on, its more suitable for wiki. Expert10 01:21, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
Someone should look up the book "Hits and Myths" by Sean Lennon, which was published in the 90s, among his published works —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.244.187.225 (talk) 17:58, 21 October 2007 (UTC) Comment moved from article by Precious Roy 18:00, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
I wouldn't call it atrocious, being a fan of Sean Lennon, but I would say that there are better images that represent him (like this one: http://www.whosdatedwho.com/celebrity/photos/sean-lennon.htm) This one looks more like he does, currently. --Yamalieu (talk) 21:44, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
He was on Jimmy Fallon with Yoko tonight and I thought it was a John Lennon impersonator until they said his name. He has a full beard and round glasses.Robinrobin (talk) 05:38, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
Is this a coincidence?
editSean Lennon and his father, John Lennon, were both born on an October 9, 35 years apart. 201.116.29.242 (talk) 23:56, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
No, it was magic. --Yamalieu (talk) 21:41, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
From what I remember hearing, it was an induced labor to ensure Sean was born on John's birthday. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.226.203.221 (talk) 19:46, 24 November 2010 (UTC)
- My brother was born on my mother's birthday. The chances are one in 365. Since the population is much greater than 365, it's fair to assume this happens a lot. TheScotch (talk) 10:10, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
nationality
editWouldnt he be american born and british/english by nationality? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.34.253.231 (talk) 03:13, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
- Nope, he's American nationality. GoodDay (talk) 20:36, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
- He is American nationality and British/Japanese ethnicity. --Yamalieu (talk) 21:41, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
removed British from first sentence since he's American Bhny (talk) 20:59, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
- A social media post today confirmed that he does in fact have British citizenship as well as American. (He won't have Japanese citizenship, as they are one of the handful of countries which prohibit dual-nationality). Would it be worth changing the article to describe him as "American-British" or something similar? Perry (talk) 20:23, 20 January 2017 (UTC)

2010 update?
editPerhaps there should be some mention of Plastic Ono Band shows, and relationship to Mi-Gu? I am going to add a The GOASTT article and have it redirect here. Wwwhatsup (talk) 06:19, 5 April 2010 (UTC)
Second Son
editIt should mention that he is the second child of John Lennon and that John Lennon was well known for being in the Beatles in the first paragraph. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.193.58.166 (talk) 02:40, 1 September 2010 (UTC)

If Arnold is an Austrian-American
editthen Sean Lennon's going to be labeled correctly too. Trueethnic (talk) 03:03, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
my edit was changed for no good reason. Trueethnic (talk) 01:43, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
We are talking diff. I agree with the edit. Ethnicity is not required in the lead, particularly a brief one such as this. It is mentioned high in the next para. Wwwhatsup (talk) 05:28, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
- Arnold is an Austrian-American because, get this, HE WAS BORN AND RAISED IN AUSTRIA and is now an American citizen. The obsession some people have with ethnicity is pathetic. Sean Lennon was born in the United States, thus he is an American, period. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.141.155.6 (talk) 00:09, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
but can't people born and raised in the us be called 'irish-american', 'african-american' or 'chinese-american', for example, if they are ethnically derived from those places? your nationality doesn't erase your ethnicity from your identity, even if you're a yank. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.110.19.177 (talk) 16:18, 25 January 2013 (UTC)
Sean is half European half Asian, hes a Eurasian-American. Or more generally just American since I doubt people label him anything other than "John Lennon's son". 107.222.205.242 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 04:51, 25 November 2013 (UTC)
Use of his first name
editCalling someone by a first name only throughout the entry is far too informal, and is inappropriate for what is supposed to be an "encyclopedia". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.141.155.6 (talk) 00:11, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- It is sometimes done when the subject's parent has the same last name, and the parent's name is also used in the article. Kingturtle = (talk) 18:09, 12 January 2016 (UTC)
Beatles RfC
editYou are invited to participate in an RfC at Wikipedia talk:Requests for mediation/The Beatles on the issue of capitalising the definite article when mentioning that band's name in running prose. Parents' influence
editEntry previoulsy asserted that his parents 'did not force him into the life of a musician' before tautologically listing how they used him in various musical projects from the age of five. I have kept 'forced' but maybe it sounds too judgemental? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.150.194.48 (talk) 03:51, 21 October 2012 (UTC)
OK. I assume from the deletion that someone thought 'forced' was too judgemental. It may well have been. But to say Lennon's parents hid their musical careers and didn't get him involved in their professional and then immediately mentioned him being dragged into the studio from the age of five (ie when he was clearly too young to consent meaningfully) is just nonsensical. I have substituted 'kickstarted'. Let's see how long that lasts...
- I think that "kickstarted" is a forceful term. How about "encouraged" or "nurtured"? Even better, simplify the wording and defuse the emotion at the same time by dropping that first clause altogether, "His parents kickstarted [sic] his musical career:", and begin the paragraph with "His debut into the music world . . ." At the age of five, I doubt that anyone would assume that his musical activities were unilateral, uncondoned by his parents. Thanks and joyous holidays, Wordreader (talk) 05:36, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
