It is in Park Hill, Oklahoma, not Tahlequa
editHi! I saw this edit. It's understandable for someone to say that it's in Tahlequah, Oklahoma because the post office address says that. The problem is that the city name of the postal address is misleading.
The city of Houston stated in this FAQ on why Kingwood addresses will remain "Kingwood, Texas" after Houston annexed it: "The U.S. Postal Service establishes ZIP codes and mailing addresses in order to maximize the efficiency of their system, not to recognize jurisdictional boundaries."
So in fact a "Tahlequah, OK" city name is not proof it's really in Tahlequah.
Now let's look at some maps:
- Map of the Tahlequah city limits
- The map of the Park Hill, Oklahoma census-designated place, which is defined by the U.S. Census Bureau
Consider the full address:
- 17091 S. Muskogee Ave, Tahlequah, OK 74465 - It's 5 miles away from the Tahlequah town center.
Tahlequah ends after 62 splits from 82, but the school is beyond that point. It's in the green "Park Hill 57300" zone.
