editIn the final paragraph Peresson is quoted indirectly in the present tense. Since he's now dead, an indirect quote should be past tense. The words reported by his wife seem like a direct quote, so I did not change their tense, but inclosed them in " ". BTW, to whom did his wife "send" that quote?
