Regional divisions

It´s been a little while since i lived there but from memory the plate in the picture is *not* from nova gorica. there are only a few regional divisions and further subdivisions are indicated by the shield after the region codes. nova gorica itself has a red rose as it´s shield and this one i can´t remember where it´s from whether it´s a little further north or south.Lotsofmagnets (talk) 20:19, 21 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

1. Celje: the area of administrative units Celje, Lasko, Mozirje, Slovenian Konjice, Šentjur in Celje, Šmarje in Alder, Velenje and Žalec;

2. Koper: the area of administrative units Izola, Koper, Piran, Sežana and Ilirska Bistrica;

3. Kranj: the area of administrative units Jesenice, Kranj, Radovljica, Škofja Loka and Monfalcone;

4. Krsko: the area of administrative units Brežice, Krsko and Sevnica;

5. Ljubljana: the area of administrative units Domžale, Grosuplje, Hrastnik, Kamnik, Kočevje, lithium, Ljubljana, Logatec, Ribnica, Trbovlje, Zapresic, Zagorje ob Savi and Cerknica;

6. Maribor: the area of administrative units Lenart, Maribor, Ormož, Poet, Ptuj, Ruse and Slovenian Bistrica;

7. Murska Sobota: the area of administrative units above Radgona, Lendava, Murska Sobota and Ljutomer;

the system changed sometime after 2010 where slovenia reverted to the earlier plate look (green border and non-tamperproof font) but with the eu band. i´ll try to dig up some further information --46.22.104.214 (talk) 12:36, 12 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

according to olav's plates the change actually happened in 2008, outdating the plate in this article by quite a few years --46.22.104.214 (talk) 12:43, 12 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
