The result of the move request was: moved. Banned user I know but WP:IAR -- this improves the encylopedia. Jenks24 (talk) 11:53, 28 October 2017 (UTC)
Solomianka Raion → Solomianka District – Out of 47 city districts there are 5 incorrectly named, 2 in Kiev, 3 in Sevastopol. Urban districts of Ukraine]] are named "X District" for Ukraine, compare Category:Urban districts of Ukraine by city and the main article Urban districts of Ukraine. 78.55.224.201 (talk) 22:35, 19 October 2017 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). EdJohnston (talk) 03:15, 20 October 2017 (UTC)
- Comment: Hello 78.55.224.201. The term raion is widely used in our articles. Are you recommending that it be taken out and replaced by 'district' wherever it occurs? That would be a lot of changes. If you want to do this, an WP:RFC might be considered. I declined the other moves you proposed at WP:RMTR the same time but you should restore them if this request passes. - My understanding this is only about urban districts, not about raions of Ukraine. If not, the scope must be clearly redefined.--Ymblanter (talk) 08:26, 20 October 2017 (UTC)

- Support per nomination. There have been previous discussions regarding the use of the native form as opposed to its English equivalent. Two such recent unsuccessful nominations, each of which left matters unresolved, are at Talk:Hretska Ploshcha#Requested move 14 September 2016 and #Requested move 19 November 2016. Here, again, we have existing main title headers which indicate: Sadhirskyi District, Amur-Nyzhnodniprovskyi District, Chechelivskyi District, Novokodatskyi District, Samarskyi District, Mykytivskyi District, Holosiivskyi District, Obolonskyi District, Pecherskyi District and Inhuletskyi District, to name but ten. Alternatively, all of those "Districts" can be renamed "Raions", but currently there are many more "Districts" than "Raions". —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 08:02, 20 October 2017 (UTC)
- Question EdJohnston, what didn't you understand about "Out of 47 city districts there are 5 incorrectly named, 2 in Kiev, 3 in Sevastopol."? 42 are X District, and you contest the renaming of the 5 that still are X Raion? 78.51.246.102 (talk) 09:14, 20 October 2017 (UTC)
- Ok, now it is clear that the IP is a globally banned user. We probably need to close the request unless someone else would adopt it.--Ymblanter (talk) 10:16, 20 October 2017 (UTC)
- Support per WP:UE Academicoffee71 (talk) 02:54, 24 October 2017 (UTC)
- Support moving this--and all other cases through move requests or on WP:RMT. In this kind of situation, names should be kept consistent for ease of understanding. If you want to change this, change all of the pages at once. —innotata 21:43, 27 October 2017 (UTC)
