Philippine or Philippe?

Sophie Philippine Élisabeth Justine or Sophie Philippe Élisabeth Justine? (not signed)

Hard to tell, both are found. The following book may have the information from the Versailles church archives where she had to be declared, whether the baptism ceremony was performed there or not:

According to the above, it seems that Philippine should be kept until we have something better, like a baptismal document, with the name shown as "Philippe".

Sophie of France (1734–1782) → ? – The present parenthetical disambiguation is unnecessary, particularly when there are several other viable options using WP:NATURAL disambiguation. I'm unsure which of these should be used: Madame Sophie would be consistent with one of her sisters, Madame Adélaïde (though personally I think that should be moved to Adélaïde of France, but we'll see what happens here first); Sophie of France, Duchess of Louvois or just Sophie, Duchess of Louvois (she held the title suo jure so it would be within WP:NCROY to use it).

There's also the possibility of moving this to just Sophie of France with a hatnote for Sophie d'Artois and the redirect Sophie of France (1786-1787). estar8806 (talk) ★ 17:26, 28 September 2023 (UTC)
