Syd Barrett and Jim Morrison

The way Barrett and Morrison are referenced in the first paragraph makes it sound as though they contributed to the album, though, as far as I can tell, they had nothing to do with this album or the band in any way. They should either be removed or the section should be modified to make it clear that, while their styles may have had an influence on the album, that they did not actually directly contribute to it. 173.11.198.81 (talk) 03:59, 29 July 2013 (UTC)

Could someone familiar with the subject translate this articl from pompous and illiterate gibberish into sane English? Article quality

Even though this probably is a quite obscure article, I think it deserves some improvements. I don't know the band well enough to do it, but I hope someone else will. The introduction sounds like an excerpt from a doctorate thesis or sum'thin'. The Miscellanea section should get reworked into some appropriate sections. And now six years later, it's still nonsense. The claim "commercially successful, and garnered significant underground FM airtime" is dubious. The album didn't even ship Gold in the US. The best selling album for Spirit was Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus, and even then three of the members left, unhappy with the lack of commercial success. The hype is unbelievable.
