Season 1 article
editSomeone made another article called Season 1 of SpongeBob Square Pants. I'm still a bit of a noob, so I'm not sure how to delete an article. Can someone else do it for me? --Alice2 (talk) 05:57, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
- I've made that article redirect to the existing article. Bill (talk|contribs) 10:45, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
Tea at the Treedome
editI rewrote the discription of "Tea at the Treedome." It is now three paragraphs long. I'm worried I might have added unnecessary details, but am not sure. Could someone determine if they think there is some tweaking that could be done? Thanks. :) 98.202.38.225 (talk) 05:20, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
I love that episode! Spongebob is so cute when dried up ( probably since I like freckles and raspy voices :P) Anyone know what those dots are when he gets dehydrated? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.100.111.16 (talk) 22:15, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
ramdom quotes
editare they needed? It looks like that they're just getting in anything that spongebob says like "so peaceful". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.239.44.204 (talk) 08:15, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
Opposite Day
editDuring a sequence when Spongebob and Patrick are doing "opposite" things in this episode, they have a sequence where the audio of their lines is backwards (I think). Does anyone know what they're saying? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.80.172.30 (talk) 23:53, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
sponge bob wall clock
editi AM LOOKING FOR THE WALL CLOCK THAT HAS A REVOLVING FACE. iT SINGS ALSO. i CAN`T FIND ANY REFERENCES ON THIS ITEM. THANK YOU, DAVID —Preceding unsigned comment added by 168.216.226.50 (talk) 13:29, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
Episode Problems
editWhat is wrong with you? Put them back the way they are. The listing is all wrong. Some episodes are edited out. Fix them now! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.6.99.198 (talk) 04:24, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
Episode information
editI have gone through every episode this season (and will for subsequent seasons) and noted the precise credits preceding each episode. No edits made to this page, like the reversion by Mediran, should remove credit information. DJ1AM (talk) 20:10, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
- I only removed the "Storyboard" credits as it's not necessary (without changing other things) and why I changed that is because to transclude it to the main episode list to ease maintenance. Thanks. Mediran (t • c) 09:36, 16 August 2013 (UTC)
- It is necessary information. It is in the opening credits of every episode. The article for the complete list of episodes can have this sparser list as a placeholder until the rest of the seasons' credits are completed. DJ1AM (talk) 01:50, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
Short summaries
editwe should strive to keep the short summaries short, as in one or two sentences. thank you. Frietjes (talk) 18:26, 31 October 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, that is also my problem. I will support that. :) Mediran (t • c) 03:52, 1 November 2013 (UTC)
- I think it's all OK now. Mediran (t • c) 07:46, 1 November 2013 (UTC)
- looks much better, thank you! Frietjes (talk) 17:25, 1 November 2013 (UTC)

Hi, I'll review this. Taylor Trescott - my talk + my edits 03:11, 20 November 2013 (UTC)
This looks close to GA, in my opinion. I put it on hold.
- No dablinks, but this link (ref #9) is dead for me.
- Remove link. I think the link was misused as the source republished at http://www.reuters.com/article/2009/01/19/idUS145869+19-Jan-2009+PRN20090119 and http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1G1-193554130.html does not say anything about what is written there. Mediran (t • c) 10:16, 12 December 2013 (UTC)
- The lead has some citations. These can be left off, since everything here later appears in the article's body.
- I hope I could but it is just WP:LEADCITE has something to say about this because there are some likely to challenged info or quotations that need to have immediate sources for immediate verification. Well I think that's that. Mediran (t • c) 10:16, 12 December 2013 (UTC)
- We knew Doug fromRocko Missing a space here
- Done. Missed that one. Mediran (t • c) 10:16, 12 December 2013 (UTC)
- The plots in the season section are pretty tiny. Looking at some featured articles on TV seasons (Supernatural (season 1), South Park (season 13), Parks and Recreation (season 1)) show me most are quite bigger than this; they should probably be expanded a little.

- The first season of SpongeBob SquarePants was well received by media critics. I think we know this is the first season of SpongeBob. How about just The season was well received...
- That's better! Mediran (t • c) 10:16, 12 December 2013 (UTC)
- Drymon said "'Help Wanted' had to be left off[...]" This quote doesn't really add anything; the previous sentence is based on something Drymon said too, so the reader already knows that the episode was left off.
- Removed as suggested. Mediran (t • c) 10:16, 12 December 2013 (UTC)
Taylor Trescott - my talk + my edits 22:01, 11 December 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you very much! I hope the article will pass. BTW, I'm working now with the plots or synopses of the episodes. Mediran (t • c) 10:16, 12 December 2013 (UTC)

Colour contrast problems
editIt seems that this article is using colours in the infobox which don't satisfy Wikipedia's accessibility guidelines. The contrast between the foreground colour and the background colour is low, which means that it may be difficult or impossible for people with visual impairments to read it.
To correct this problem, a group of editors have decided to remove support for invalid colours from Template:Infobox television season and other television season templates after 1 September 2015. If you would still like to use custom colours for the infobox and episode list in this article after that date, please ensure that the colours meet the WCAG AAA standard.
To test whether a colour combination is AAA-compliant you can use Snook's colour contrast tool. If your background colour is dark, then please test it against a foreground colour of "FFFFFF" (white). If it is light, please test it against a foreground colour of "000000" (black). The tool needs to say "YES" in the box for "WCAG 2 AAA Compliant" when you input the foreground and the background colour. You can generally make your colour compliant by adjusting the "Value (%)" fader in the middle box.
Please be sure to change the invalid colour in every place that it appears, including the infobox, the episode list, and the series overview table. If you have any questions about this, please ask on Template talk:Infobox television season. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 05:30, 2 August 2015 (UTC)

Season 1 air date
editSeason 1 ended in 2000, not 2001, that’s a mistake Anonymous0697 (talk) 16:16, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
--67.163.20.117 (talk) 19:11, 24 September 2021 (UTC)No, it ended in 2001. "Hooky" and "Mermaidman and Barnacleboy II" premiered that year.
Half-wrong premiere date for Hooky
editPeople don't actually know whether or not Febuary 23 is it's premiere date. It's just the earliest known air date for the episode. 2600:1700:FE80:47D0:3C36:902B:5472:AF29 (talk) 18:35, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
Mother Goose & Grimm?
editThis article says that Stephen Hillenburg worked on Mother Goose & Grimm while attending animation school. Is this true? 2601:603:1101:AE80:C809:DF00:9999:D6CB (talk) 05:23, 31 January 2023 (UTC)
Episode Production/Development
editI was wondering if someone can make articles for the episodes in this season because I just the official pitch bible includes prototype plots and scenes of season 1 dated 1996-97 (Squeaky Boots, Bubblestand, Jellyfishing, etc.).
