The result of the move request was: Moved - The case put forward that the present name is the common name is a strong one, supported by a strong body of evidence. In contrast, arguments about consistency rely on a very narrow definition of the other articles with which this one should be consistent (i.e., Polish football stadiums rather than other non-football stadia in Poland or other stadia in other countries) that would appear more a permanent enforcement of an unspoken rule developed here on Wikipedia at some point.
FULL DISCLOSURE: I lived in Wrocław several years and went to the stadium there regularly for gigs and matches. (non-admin closure) FOARP (talk) 09:51, 15 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Stadion WrocławWrocław Stadium – Per WP:COMMONNAME and WP:ENG, this is the name most commonly used in English, as well as used by the official website of the stadium, the stadium's partner, its soccer team and the city of Wrocław. Searching "Stadion Wrocław" gives predominantly Polish results. Here's sources using the English name:

From the city's/stadium's official websites: [1], [2], [3], [4], [5]

Other reliable sources using the name: [6], [7], [8], [9], [10], [11] Max19582 (talk) 18:44, 22 January 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. BilledMammal (talk) 01:15, 31 January 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. BilledMammal (talk) 01:41, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Oppose. We have an accepted nomenclature of Polish stadiums (alike Category:Football venues in Poland), moving just one stadium in Wroclaw would cause chaos. The Stadion Narodowy or other Polish Euro 2012 stadiums have a Polish name, and the name Stadion Wrocław is also used in English. Let me remind you that several years ago, for this reason, the Stadion Narodowy was renamed from English to Polish. Paradygmaty (talk) 19:30, 26 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Paradygmaty: When an English name has been established and is in use (just like in this case), it should be used on Wikipedia as well. For example, we would not move Warsaw to Warszawa simply because it is the only Polish city with an English article name. Max19582 (talk) 13:49, 28 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose per Paradygmaty. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:53, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose per Paradygmaty, it seems that most Polish stadiums use Polish names, if that's good or bad is another matter, and should be discussed in a holistic mannerMarcelus (talk) 14:18, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
  • Support per nom, the fact that the sources and stadium itself uses it (so not an artificial name as argued at Narodowy), and that these sources use it too [12][13][14], although others also used "Tarczynski Arena", with Stadion Wrocław showing Polish-language results. Although a comparision analysis of the two would be preferred. While not the best, the current name has 1 result on Scholar. compared to 5–16 for the proposed. While there may be an informal standard set in the category, I do not find any formal naming convention that stadiums in Poland should automatically use the Polish name over the common name? That should at least be set up first somewhere, unless I missed it. DankJae 19:45, 9 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Commentary: It seems to me, that more votes were in favor of leaving the Polish name, though (or at least no consensus). However, since this has been decided, can I ask @FOARP: to move the majority of the links from Stadion Wrocław to Wrocław Stadium? Paradygmaty (talk) 12:23, 27 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
