General attempted improvement in 2003
editI edited to make it more grammatically correct and therefore understandable. Somethings I just didn't touch because I couldn't understand what the sentence was attepting to convey. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Carriejane (talk • contribs) 12:00, 30 November 2003

The result of the move request was: move to Star Channel (Greece). This will move Star Channel (disambiguation) to Star Channel. Primefac (talk) 14:40, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
Star Channel → Star Channel (Greece) – Disambiguation with several other topics listed on the disambiguation page at Star TV. See also the ongoing discussions at Talk:STAR TV and Talk:Star Television Network. —BarrelProof (talk) 19:22, 2 March 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose I'm not seeing anything else on that dab page that uses "Star Channel" as its name, much less prevents this one from being the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for "Star Channel". --В²C ☎ 21:09, 2 March 2017 (UTC)
- Well, there's a pretty significant topic that was originally named Star Channel. Anyone reading literature from that period might want to look up that topic. There is also a Star Chinese Channel and various topics in template:STAR and lots of other Star channels on that dab page (and lots of other Star channels outside of television – e.g., radio channels). —BarrelProof (talk) 23:25, 2 March 2017 (UTC)
- Well, I see that IIO just created Star Channel (disambiguation). The list of three uses there strengthens the case a bit, but pageview analysis demonstrates this (Greek) Star Channel is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. --В²C ☎ 18:00, 3 March 2017 (UTC)
- There's only about a 3:1 ratio of page views between Star Channel and Star Channel (Japan), and that includes all the people who are accidentally landing at the former when looking for the latter. Star Channel didn't even have a hatnote to help people find Star Channel (Japan) until today, and Star Channel (Japan) was also missing from the Star TV dab page until yesterday. It's no wonder people aren't viewing Star Channel (Japan) as much since it has been so difficult to find. That also totally neglects all of those looking for Star Channel (US) and Star Chinese Channel and the various other Star channels. That's not much of a case for WP:PRIMARYTOPIC status. —BarrelProof (talk) 19:21, 3 March 2017 (UTC)
- A classic case of the problem with page views, is it not? Andrewa (talk) 21:04, 9 March 2017 (UTC)

- Support Star Channel (US) was far more notable, and note also Star Channel (Japan) which "specializes in the provision of foreign movies to Japanese audiences via the diverse broadcasting venues of digital CS, BS, and cable television." In ictu oculi (talk) 23:44, 2 March 2017 (UTC)
- Perhaps it was more notable, in the 1970s. That hardly matters to title determination 40 years later. --В²C ☎ 18:00, 3 March 2017 (UTC)
- It's enough to call into serious question the primary status of the Greek channel, and if that can't be established then the move should occur. Andrewa (talk) 21:04, 9 March 2017 (UTC)

- Support. No case for primary topic status of the Greek channel, see above. Andrewa (talk) 21:04, 9 March 2017 (UTC)
