editThe picture in the mountainbox will do for now, but it hardly does the Squaw justice. It is dark and does not have the Squaw centred in the frame. I will try to get a better picture sometime this year when I am in Squamish. Otherwise, please upload a better picture if you have one.

Psi4ce: I agree that picture sucks. I'll try to get a good one from the Squamish Spit:it has an amazing view of the entire area. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tsylos (talk • contribs) 03:12, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
The Squaw, apparently never it's official name. Now a new name has been proposed: Slhanay. I understand from talking to locals that several names have been proposed over the years. This one is now documented in the local newspaper and has the support of locals, some native groups, and at least one prominent guidebook writer.

Is this enough to change the article to reference the proposed name?

OK it's been another year since my last proposal, I think that this article needs to be updates that the name Slhanay has been proposed as the new name for the Squaw, and has begun to gain acceptance. The locals (I live in squamish) have begun to refer to it as Slhanay, and in the new official trail map it's been re-labelled. Links (for referenced)

How many references until we can at least say that a new name has been proposed and is appearing on new maps?
