I suggest removing from Personal life the "Bing sponsored Bill Clinton's August, 2009 mission to secure the release of Current TV's journalists Laura Ling and Euna Lee from North Korea.[2]" Stephengeis (talk) 09:02, 6 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

NPOV

edit

This article does not have a NPOV and is unencyclopedic:

"likes to tell people that he is a philanthropist"
"likes to date actresses"

--Bungopolis 19:26, 17 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Since I believe those quotes have now been removed I am going to remove the tag.- Moshe Constantine Hassan Al-Silverburg | Talk 21:50, 20 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

This article continues to have a NPOV:

The result is that despite Bing's low-key personality, he is thought to wield considerable clout within the Democratic Party hierarchy.

Unless an adequate source can be found for this statement, I would suggest that it be removed. As it stands at present, it is merely conjecture. M1CH4EL (talk) 00:13, 20 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Clinton N. Korea flight

edit

It has been widely reported that Bing's aircraft was used for Bill Clinton's August 2009 trip to North Korea to negotiate the release of two journalists, and that he personally financed the trip. The fact that this has attracted coverage in reliable sources indicates to me that it is a notable fact about Bing. Derek.cashman disagreed and removed the statements and source. I'm soliciting other editors' views on the inclusion of this fact.

Perhaps a section titled Philanthropy should be created, including his other humanistic activities, like funding Brad Pitt's housing project in New Orleans? Seems better than lumping these items in with Personal Life. WikiTracker (talk) 14:47, 9 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Harvard-Westlake

edit

How is the claim he attended Harvard-Westlake valid, if he was born in 1965 and HW's first graduating class was in 1992 (merger between Harvard and Westlake occured in 1991). Comment below please.

Something worth adding to his article

edit

According to these articles, he suffered from depression, and this is something that should be worth adding.

Death

edit

The only headline I've seen calling this a suicide is the Variety headline. Every other headline just calls it a death. It might be premature to call this a suicide.Rich (talk) 19:51, 23 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Is it important to go into the details of his method of suicide? It’s not recommended by medical experts and it doesn’t seem relevant, especially going all the way into giving the floor number. Anne Marie (talk) 00:57, 25 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

"A debunked conspiracy theory linked Bing’s death to the late Jeffrey Epstein."

edit

This 1-sentence paragraph doesn't seem descriptive enough. At least readers will want to know: did he know Jeffrey Epstein? 173.88.246.138 (talk) 08:08, 9 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
