Steven Goldstein (civil rights activist) → Steven Goldstein (activist) – There are six entries on the disambiguation page for Steve Goldstein and only one is an activist. Per WP:NCPDAB " If possible, limit the tag to a single, recognizable and highly applicable term." Mitchumch (talk) 02:39, 13 April 2019 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 04:57, 13 April 2019 (UTC)
- @Mitchumch: queried move request: "civil rights activist" does not look excessively wordy to me, given the importance of civil rights in the modern world. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 04:57, 13 April 2019 (UTC)
- @Anthony Appleyard: I'm not challenging the importance of the term "civil rights activist" in the modern world. My argument is centered on the term that was used to disambiguate it from the other five articles. There were no other activists among them.
- To simplify the disambiguation term (one word, instead of three words), I reduced it to activist. The article will discuss his civil rights activity. This rationale is why I cited WP:NCPDAB above in my original request. Mitchumch (talk) 09:52, 13 April 2019 (UTC)
