Barbara Strozzi
editAccording to [[1]], she is born in Venice in 1619, the adopted daughter, possibly natural daughter of Giulio Strozzi, neither of whom is mentioned on the Strozzi family page. Are they related to the other Strozzis?--FeanorStar7 12:44, 27 November 2005 (UTC)

– main article, all the other persons named in the lone disambiguation page are listed here already, no need to disambiguate. See also Italian Wiki mirror for comparison. Gryffindor (talk) 23:00, 26 January 2021 (UTC)
- Note: Strozzi titles a surname page with significant content and so is ineligible to be a "new" title unless it is also proposed to be renamed. This request has been altered to reflect that fact. P.I. Ellsworth ed. put'r there 04:58, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose suspect that a large number of readers will be looking for the composer. Why make like difficult for them? In ictu oculi (talk) 12:44, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
- It's likely that this family is the primary topic for the surname, but we should not implement that by moving the family article, rather by placing a redirect to the family article instead, as the family should stay at a name that includes that kind of a moniker. Both because that's separate from the surname concept and indeed actually how people refer to them (verifiable from our articles, the first few pages of a Google Books search for "Strozzi", etc). Also, there were at least a few more missing articles appropriate to list in the surname article, that I have in the meantime added (even if all these people were also descended from the medieval family, they're a few centuries removed, so they're unlikely to have a place in the medieval family article). Likewise, I see now that even for some of the members of the family, their aristocratic origin wasn't actually the primary source of their notability. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 12:03, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
