editThis reservoir and gatehouse are historic 19th century civil engineering achievements, but the structures are used for backup, which does happen in the 21st century.--Dthomsen8 (talk) 18:42, 20 December 2018 (UTC)
Clarification of Emergency Service Issues
editThe reference cited states: "Clean water from the Sudbury Aqueduct and untreated water from an emergency back-up reservoir system, the Chestnut Hill Reservoir, are currently supplying affected communities and is safe for bathing, flushing, and fire prevention but not for human consumption." (my emphasis). Thus, I do not believe it is correct to have the article use the phrase "The Chestnut Hill and Sudbury water was untreated," (my emphasis again)". I have changed it to "The Chestnut Hill water was untreated,". Paradoox (talk) 04:13, 30 March 2014 (UTC)
External links modified
editHello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Sudbury Aqueduct. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20100503233105/http://www.boston.com:80/news/local/breaking_news/2010/05/catastrophic_le.html to http://www.boston.com/news/local/breaking_news/2010/05/catastrophic_le.html
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.
