Beautiful Nightmar -> Sweet Dreams

edit

Do anyone knows, what's the reason for chosing the song's name? --87.139.24.216 (talk) 16:03, 31 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

I think just because, in effect, they are two different songs. Beautiful Nightmare is the original release, there were no "turn the lights on" and less effects on the song. So the song was remade and I think that's why the new title was needed. Loveable Daveo (talk) 11:45, 16 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

UK Download Chart

edit

The UK Download Chart is a legitimate chart; [1] [2] - and is just as necessary to the article as the misc. US charts, such as the Bubbling Under, Pop Airplay and Hot Dance Club Play. So whoever is insisting to keep on removing it, please stop. 80.6.177.56 (talk) 18:28, 26 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Source

edit

The song is going to be the final single officially released from the "I Am... Sasha Fierce" album [3].

Is this source credible? IkeMuotoh (talk) 18:17, 31 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Dutch Top 40

edit

this site says it debuted on the chart at #35 however, the official website for the dutch charts says it debuted at #89...............

which one is the correct one?

Tubeyoumania (talk) 09:26, 14 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

The first one, which is the Dutch Top 40, the main Dutch singles chart. The second one refers to the Mega Single Top 100, which is a component chart. Funk Junkie (talk) 23:04, 15 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Can you upload a picture for the video? I don't know how to do that. There was one before but it has been removed. I don't know why. (Jivesh boodhun (talk) 19:39, 5 June 2010 (UTC))Reply

Remember to find a source for this (The only time she performed "Sweet Dreams" on her tour)

edit

On the first show of her I Am... Tour, Knowles performed the songs with a rendition of "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) (song)|Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)", however, she removed it from the setlist the day after.[citation needed] She performed a slow acoustic version as a medley with "Dangerously in Love 2" and Anita Baker's "Sweet Love", as a part of her I Am... Yours show in Las Vegas.

To-do

edit

Jivesh, could you post a to-do list of things to, well, to do? I'm a bit stuck on where to start and would love to help, but don't know how. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 12:44, 18 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Can you find something about the conception of the song? I am sure Rico Love and Jim Jonsin must have talked about it because they are quite talkative ala Rihanna. :D I am done with P&R, C&LI, CR and P&CV. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 12:48, 18 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
Will do. Thanks. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 12:50, 18 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

I've done a quick skim of the article and here are some things to consider. These are not necessarily errors, but things to check off if they are fine.

Technical:
  • Fix dashes.
  • Remove and replace unreliable sources.
  • Replace {{citation needed}} tags.
  • Source important details of the synopsis.
  • Check for WP:CHARTTRAJ.
  • Check for consistent number formatting per WP:MOSNUM.
  • Typos.
  • Format citations consistently.
  • Order references numerally.
Content
  • Search for background information regarding the record.
  • Search for background and reception information regarding live performances and covers.
  • Remove what may be deemed as WP:FANCRUFT.
  • Paraphrase as much as possible, but leave important quotations.
  • Check for chronological order and proper organization.
  • Remove repetitive and redundant information that adds nothing to the article.
Prose
  • Heavy copy editing for brilliant and professional prose.
  • Check for repetitive language.
  • Check for confusing and unclear language.
  • Check for unencyclopaedic tones.

Feel free to add to this list. I'm starting work. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 13:07, 18 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

I was fully aware of all the Technical Issues but thanks for the rest. Very helpful indeed. Please do not copy-edit the MV section for now. If you want, you can c/e its reception only. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 13:11, 18 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
Before you start with this, I want to tell you that I started writing what she said about the "SD" video in the Platinum Edition of I Am... Sasha Fierce in my sandbox here. If Wikipedian Pengiun can watch the video, he can continue adding what she said. Tell me if you can't so, I can finish it and tell you what she said. I think she said lot of things that would help expand the music video section. My love is love (talk) 13:14, 18 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
So the Gareth Pugh inspiration is true? Yay. :D Jivesh1205 (Talk) 13:16, 18 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
Hi My love is love. What is the source to this interview? How would I cite this? —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 13:21, 18 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
Penguin, it should be like the one in Halo and BHG. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 13:42, 18 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

@Penguin, do you think we can use this? Jivesh1205 (Talk) 14:39, 19 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

I wouldn't question it myself, but I know it would be questioned by others. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 14:41, 19 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
Okay. I have seen FACs passing with it. And Nikki does not question it. Do you think this reception is a bit fancrufty? I don't think so but I can only imagine Katy Perry fans reading that. Lol. They will be tempted to press edit. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 14:45, 19 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned references in Sweet Dreams (Beyoncé Knowles song)

edit

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Sweet Dreams (Beyoncé Knowles song)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Dance music

edit

Dance music is not a genre (read the relevant Wikipedia article). It is a style of music which accompanies dancing; it could range from folk or classical music to pop, rock, R&B or hip hop. I removed dance as a genre from this article, but I was reverted twice. I would like to hear other editors' opinions. Adabow (talk) 21:35, 26 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

At the same point, that Japanese site is not reliable enough. (I guess) 183.171.165.62 (talk) 07:52, 10 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
