Proposal: Merger of individual games wrt. notability

edit
Collapsing because this has become an excuse for not working here. Finding a way out is one thing, giving up is another. Cheers :) 野狼院ひさし Hisashi Yarouin 03:32, 3 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Pages:

Per @Mika1h:'s notability tags. As much as I hate to, I have to agree that the notability for each game is too disperse to establish. To be frank, all the games pages are mostly the playable song list plus some essential intro parts (which I am guilty of propagating. Sorry).

My proposal is to move each individual game article to just the "List of playable songs in Taiko no Tatsujin xxx", and merge anything else to the series article (here). To me it's like those "list of episodes of (whatever anime)", seeing playable songs are indispensable to a music game like episodes are to an anime.

If anyone is capable to put up enough to make a stand-alone page for any of the games, good for you, you are awesome, and be bold and do that. But as of the current state I think it's best to carry out the (half)-merge. --野郎院ひさし//Nigellius Nitrox (talk) 11:57, 24 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

PS. Personally not recommend translating large chunks from either ja or zh articles because both are dabbed with quite heavy original research.

Donkey Konga

edit

Should the article not mention Donkey Konga in some degree? They are pretty much the same game with different interfaces. -- Rylie James Thomas (talk) 03:52, 23 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Taiko no Tatsujin arcade games still in Malaysia

edit

The sentence "Due to the nature of the series, there were no other releases outside of Japan.", how come these arcade games still exist in Malaysia? Blubbermarble (talk) 10:16, 2 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

You should change the article, I think. Unfortunately when people think of the 'videogame world' they only think of North America, Europe, and Japan. Perhaps change 'Japan' to 'Asia'? -- Rylie James Thomas (talk) 03:52, 23 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
The older arcades (1~14 sans 11 Asia and 12 Asia) were not really official releases, probably by parallel import. The newest arcade build (Momoiro ver.) though has been officially released to Malaysia (among other regions) as an "Asia Version", with differences here and there than the Japanese kind (read: less songs, less outfits, less features). --Nigelliusnitrox (talk) 10:29, 13 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Taiko web!

edit

I’m not able to edit but maybe someone else can add in something about the taiko web port? 12.75.8.85 (talk) 00:29, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

The following web ports 太鼓ウェブ - Taiko Web (taikoapp.uk) and 太鼓ウェブ - Taiko Web (cjdgrevival.com) aren't affiliated with Bandai Namco, so adding them to the article might not be necessary. If there's a need to, we can note it as unofficial, but I can't find where we can write this idea RFNirmala (talk) 04:16, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

The 3 DS games aren't listed.

edit

not sure if they are offical، but the 3 games i could atleast find that aren't listed in the article are: Taiko no Tatsujin DS - Touch de Dokodon! Taiko no Tatsujin DS - Dororon! Yokai! Daikessen!! Metcha! Taiko no Tatsujin DS - 7-tsu no Shima no Daibouken (All of these are japanese only) on all the games, there is a unique note that is like a balloon not but instead of spamming don, you switch between don and ka notes (don, ka, don, ka) on the second game, theres a story, the story is about don-chan and katsu-chan find and go into a portal then in the world inside of the portal theres a bear girl(?) who is trying to find her father i am not sure about the third game though. 197.48.46.224 (talk) 14:35, 10 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
