Date of birth
edit- There’s a monument with the date 15 August 1880 chiseled into it – [1].
- Most other sources say he was born 15 December 1880.
- Apparently his school records say he was born 15 December 1877.
- So we have 3 possible dates. Anyone have any more recent accurate information? -- JackofOz (talk) 03:29, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
Anthropologist
editThis excellent and well sourced article stops at the point at which Sir Peter, after careful consultation with other Maori leaders gave up his medical and political careers to become an ethnographer (cultural anthropologist). This is the career which, after work in the Cook Islands, lead to his appointment as director of the Bishop Museum in Honolulu and by which he became internationally known. Kiwi anthropologists and the professional staff of the Bishop Museum please copy. - The Dictionary of New Zealand Biography entry cited in the article should do the job. Billingd (talk) 21:08, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
Medical Degree
editI have changed Te Rangi Hīroa's Otago medical degree from "MB and ChB" to "MB ChB", as the "and" is redundant and is arguably more reflective of typical usage as it is one degree, as the way it was written gives the impression that it is two degrees when this is not the case. This was been carried over from the Encyclopaedia of New Zealand article cf.http://www.teara.govt.nz/en/biographies/3b54/buck-peter-henry — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.57.148.74 (talk) 01:25, 9 May 2013 (UTC)
