A note on notability
editI put a Prod on this article on the grounds "No evidence that this is anything other than an ordinary hotel and hence lacking in notability" This was removed on ground that content had previously been removed. The removed content was:
- "It contains a Chartwell Grill restaurant features continental foods. There are facilities at the hotel for meetings."
- "It has access to the metro station."
- "The hotel is close to The Phillips Collection, which features over 6000 paintings"
These are statements that one would expect in a hotel advertising brochure (and one should recall that a previous article of this title was speedy-deleted as unambiguous advertising in May), but they are not statements of encyclopaedic notability. A restaurant, function rooms, access to public transport and proximity to sites of interest are the common features of hotels the world over. This article needs evidence of notability; as it stands it is a clear candidate for AfD. AllyD (talk) 23:29, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
When I look for news paper archives I find plenty enough to meet the WP:GNG.
- Points of notability:
The hotel achieved a close second highest sale price per room ($340,000 after $350,000) purchased by Highland Hospitatlity in 2005 Erin Killian (5 January 2006). "Four Seasons vies for a five-star sale". Washington Business Journal.
