Postage Stamp
editIn June 2017, Australia Post issued two Henry Lawson stamps, one being a picture of the Drover's Wife. The picture shows the confrontation between the snake and whole family, the women holding a babe in arms, with a girl standing safely behind her. Another girl is peering around the corner of the house, while the boy is holding a stick not quite as long as the snake. The family dog is positioned near the tail of the snake, ready to strike. There are a pot and a pail hanging from the awning of the shack, but they are out of reach as the snake is in the way.
Unlike the Russell Drysdale portrait, this stamp does show the story of the battle between the Drover's Wife and the snake. Tabletop (talk) 12:43, 24 June 2017 (UTC)
