The article says In 1926, the McClatchys purchased an older Fresno newspaper, The Republican. The Fresno Republican had been founded in 1876. So, which is/was it (The Republican or The Fresno Republican)? The newspapers.com archive calls it The Fresno Bee The Republican.—[AlanM1(talk)]—12:40, 3 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
