editI did a few language tweaks for clarity (such as noting that TNT is specifically American) and accuracy (it's not a "film released" [insert date], it's a film that WAS released [insert date], for instance), added some links to other Wikipedia pages (such as headhunters, Mayan and tongue-in-cheek), and updated it a little here and there, but I couldn't do much as far as updates, because I really need to know: does anybody have any clue whether or not "The Librarian 2" is in (or finished with) production yet? I can't seem to come up with any good sources for it that date past June or July of 2005, which is arguably rather out of date seeing as it's about 10-11 months past that now. I think we need verification on the current status of the sequel film, and badly, in order for this page to be accurate. 63.21.87.193 08:09, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
- The sequel is out now. Can anyone verify the trilogy mentioned in the article? -Elizabennet 21:09, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
could someone integrate the interwiki-link to de:The Quest – Jagd nach dem Speer des Schicksals 81.189.27.10 17:48, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
Excalibur
editJust a quick note on Excalibur being an error: Keep in mind that in some Arthur stories Excalibur and the Sword in the Stone ARE conflated into one item. This should probably be removed as an inaccuracy, OR the fact that some stories combine the two swords into one relic should be noted. Ambaryer (talk) 03:56, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
- I have just removed another addition "Excalibur came from the lake, it was not the sword in the stone."
- If the film depicts it as coming from the lady of the lake (not from the lake) it is from the Post-Vulgate Cycle, 200 years after the poems had it in the stone - Robert de Boron, as it also is in the later Le Morte d'Arthur.
- The statement also does not make it clear if the editor meant the film depicted it incorrectly by putting it in the stone, or if they depicted it incorrectly by having it come from the lake (or the lady of the lake). Nonetheless the most common assertion is that it came from the stone, as per the oldest tales. Chaosdruid (talk) 04:48, 19 March 2011 (UTC)
DVD Pricing
editI removed the following sentence: "For some odd reason it is the most expensive of all three films to purchase." First, it has an informal, non-encyclopedic tone. And second, I don't think it's relevant to an encyclopedia in the first place. Although the statement happens to be true (I was looking to buy it when I stumbled onto the page) and I can offer speculation why (oldest of the three, few produced) it's nothing that can be cited or is even particularly relevant to an encyclopedia.
