I've seen Charlie listed as born in 1934 and 1937. Can anyone provide a definite DOB? -- Sl1dewest (talk) 21:49, 16 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

This article needs the names of the Richardson sex gang members. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.93.21.106 (talkcontribs)

There are very few references. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.245.147.18 (talk) 11:11, 18 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

in his book "my manor" charlie states that he was born in 1937. however this date doesnt match with most of the text, in particular the part about the sentencing states that "i was 33 and looking at 25 years in jail", this indicates a dob of 1934 so possibly the 1937 is a misprint. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.89.27.224 (talk) 07:05, 30 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Citations needed

edit

The whole page could really do with some references to beef it up. It's a great read but there are a lot of statements of opinion being made without anything to back them up, e.g. Robert Mark's predecessor being "wholly inept". This might well be the case - but statements like this need to be backed up by citations to meet Wikipedia's standards. --Archstanton (talk) 12:26, 23 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Needs revision

edit

There is a lot of text here but it is really disorganized and hard to follow. Some of it is chronological, at other times a paragraph focuses on a certain individual member...it's a lot of information but a mess. Anyone up for a rewrite? It needn't be from scratch. It just needs to have a logical flow. Newjerseyliz (talk) 22:16, 2 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Done I just finished an extended bout of copy-editing. Contents should be better arranged now. —Molly-in-md (talk) 19:07, 27 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

And an image or two would really help! Newjerseyliz (talk) 22:16, 2 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello Wikipedians, I am looking to fix any spelling and grammar issues with this article. Let me know if you have any feedback to give me when I am doing this (common mistakes to look for, any mistakes you've noticed, ect.). The link to my sandbox is as follow: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:KristinaKalergis/sandbox Thanks! KristinaKalergis (talk) 18:07, 1 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Move?

edit

I think this should be moved to plain Richardson Gang. At present it resembles a book or film title. See Kray twins, for comparison. Rothorpe (talk) 00:19, 26 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

I agree. --Boson (talk) 22:58, 21 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Word Salad

edit

There is some pretty serious word salad in parts of this article. I especially noticed some gems in the 'Aftermath' section such as: After these events they all appeared to fall off the radar to the public eye until 2015 Eddie announced he was doing a charitable event to this day the deeds done by the Richardson's are still very much kept secretive there eldest relative Alan Richardson who had two sons in the 1970's he then left Knights Bridge in 1974 they moved to Peterborough in Scotland.

Frankly I can't even work out what some of it is even trying to say. Unless somebody is able to decipher and de-scramble a lot of the stuff in this section I'm probably going to come back to this article and just cut a lot of of it out completely, because as it stands it is a total mess -Joey- (talk) 05:58, 16 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Article reads like drama

edit

This article reads like a drama than a factual encyclopaedia entry. London's post World War 2 (through to mid 1970's) organized crime gangs and Police collusion are important parts of history, it would be better they were not written like fantastical recollections of partaking individuals. Undoubtedly some of the violence and torture is factual, but much is based on folklore (as well as being incredible). Perhaps some facts based on actual police evidence is important to give an idea of criminal activities, but not the bullsh*it tails, myths and whispers of the narcissistic, vicious individuals who spent years creating reputations and then further years celebrating in their notoriety mixed with subsequent prison-lore. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.186.48.187 (talk) 09:23, 16 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
