Notability

The article for this book is expansive, but nowhere is the reason for its inclusion stated. Is it a bestseller? Has it won some awards? The article does not say. Bueller 007 (talk) 19:38, 20 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

This may not have been in the article when the above comment was made, but the lead notes that the book received the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for General Non-Fiction, which is a clear indicator of notability. Robofish (talk) 21:04, 24 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
There are also reliable sources in the references. Almost all of the first 13 references are independent with significant coverage of this topic per GNG. When this article first started it was the reliable sources that determined its notability. For example, this book was reviewed in the New York Times at least twice. Although the book may have won some notable awards, it was the WP:RS that showed it merited inclusion as a stand alone article. Steve Quinn (talk) 07:19, 14 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
