Advert
editThis does read a bit like an ad but the bottom line is that this entry is required so (although there was some monkeying around with the tags) I'd rather avoid adding them back in and work on improving the entry we have. I have done some work changing the lead and added formatting and references. My main concern is the plot - can we source this? I will recheck through the sources I have but don't recall such a detailed plot breakdown (although I did just skim through and didn't have creating the entry in mind - I was working on sketching out the character entries). I've also flagged this on the comics Project talk page (where this was already being discussed) so we should be able to fix any problems that are of concern to anyone. - This is clearly a promotional vehicle. And having a laundry list of citations from an industry-cheerleader site like Newsarama doesn't make it less so.--Tenebrae 15:23, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
Overdetail
editTag added since WikiProject style is not to do overdetailed, issued-by-issue, blow-by-blow synopsis. Also, the JMS info should be in "Publication history" and the synopsis in "Team biography" -Tenebrae (talk) 15:38, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
- Since this note and the tag have been up for some time, and the WPC MOS vio has continued and even been added to, I have deleted this egregious section. This is a five-issue story so far, with very few events that have milestone repercussion on Marvel continuity, and we can sum it up in a couple of short paragraphs. We cannot keep violating our own consensus month after month. --Tenebrae (talk) 17:00, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
- Did it really require the complete removal of the section though? Trim it back to a few sentences by all means but it seems a crude way of dealing with the problem. (Emperor (talk) 17:38, 23 May 2008 (UTC))
- I agree, it's not the kind of thing one should do every day, but that the tag has been up for months and the problem was just getting worse. It'll be easier to rebuild than to refurbish. I guess I can volunteer to do it, or someone can start and I can pitch in. I really wish the editors who were writing all that would just read WPC policy....
- Ah, well. Gimme a little while, or start and I'll join you. --Tenebrae (talk) 01:04, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
