Same as for Lucas Hernandez — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.161.250.175 (talk) 04:22, 13 July 2018 (UTC)
Yeah, but just like his older brother Luca, he has a Spanish passport. Keep that in mind. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ArtemAlexanderson (talk • contribs) 12:22, 31 July 2020 (UTC)
- Regardless of if it is Lucas or Theo, the accent is not used in the names of certain French people of Spanish surnames/descent, see Talk:Lucas Hernandez with Mattythewhite's explanation. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 16:34, 25 October 2021 (UTC)

– It's how the Real Madrid website spells Theo's name [1], the accent is also used from AC Milan recently and on both pages per external links, the accent is used there as well (footballdatabase.eu and bdfutbol.com. Theo also spells his name with an accent on his Instagram and per Google site search has his name with an accent underneath the pictures on the English language setting. Therefore, the family surname is mis-spelled. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 18:05, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
- Comment. It should be noted that both of these men are French citizens, born in France and that both of their entries have no accents in French Wikipedia [2][3]. Also noted are the comments above at Talk:Theo Hernandez#Name which take issue with the proposed accents. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 01:38, 15 October 2021 (UTC)
- It should be further noted that, while there is some supporting evidence that Theo Hernandez may have adopted a non-French accent, there is no evidence that Jean-François Hernandez has also decided to adopt a non-French accent. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 23:25, 15 October 2021 (UTC)

- Oppose, per Roman Spinner. The name isn't spelled with the diacritic. Mattythewhite (talk) 18:27, 25 October 2021 (UTC)
- I think these articles should stay put based on the expanding discussion on the Lucas Hernandez talk page. Just as long we have the diacritic versions as redirects, we won't have any more problems with this RM. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 14:45, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
Oppose both & may be a good idea to move all other language page names to the one without the mark on both Lucas and Theo's surnames because the French father doesn't. 46.149.249.106 (talk) 10:00, 1 November 2021 (UTC)
