Really interested in the article but feel that the section on Selkirk and John Paul Jones could be better integrated into his 'early life'. It feels 'tacked on' at the moment and spoils and otherwise clean flow of information. I also think the article would benefit from more information on how Lord Selkirk's actions at the Red River settlement (such as his treaties with the Cree, Ojibwa and Assiniboines and his court battles with the NWC) lead to the eventual merger with the HBC in 1821 JamesWhite2 (talk) 04:31, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
- I tacked it on to the bottom because it was a good story. Putting it further up would also interrupt the flow. I agree we need an overview article on the Red River Colony-Metis-HBC-NWC business. Right now info is scattered in several dozen articles. Benjamin Trovato (talk) 21:59, 5 February 2015 (UTC)
